Brazil-based director Douglas Bernhardt has directed a beautiful, discursive portrait of Rio life through the eyes of a gregarious young man, for the Brazilian artist Baco.
With breathtaking cinematography, the narrative cuts back and forth from past to present - his happy-go-lucky, joy-filled progress through his day counterpointed with his dramatic sprint through the streets, as if being chased. On all sorts of levels, this is a thrilling experience, and an illuminating insight into Rio culture, as well as a riveting promo for Baco's track Bluesman.
