​We were looking to create a coming-of-age narrative music video shot in a small country town. Casting real people was important to the vision. It became clear that we wanted to approach real kids who were competent riding motorbikes. We reached out to motocross clubs, Facebook groups, community noticeboards and spoke to stunt performers and coordinators. We found Kaylee who played GIRL after she won a motocross competition, who travelled from a small town in rural NSW to join us for the shoot. Knox, who plays BOY was found through Instagram coverage of a motocross event that he won. ​
