When a customer in an Irish pub overhears a barman saying that Island’s Edge is “just less bitter”, he feels compelled to share something with the rest of the pub that proves he’s less bitter too. Before we know it, patrons from every corner of the pub are stepping forward with stories of their lack of bitterness – some more convincing than others – including a woman whose mother wore white on her wedding day and a man who has been called the wrong name for years. The film salutes all those who choose to leave bitterness behind and move on with their life… or try to at least.
