This is particularly true for Gen Z, who at every turn (or swipe) are surrounded by ads for pricey, flavor-of-the-week fashion trends like a pair of $300 MSCHF Big Red Boots, the next Supreme Drop, or a $2,000 Balenciaga jacket.
NerdWallet needed to find a way to grab audience attention and break through as the destination for smart financial advice (something that is not typically considered breakthrough).
So we paired them up with fashion designer Jack Irving to make smart financial decisions the hottest thing to do in 2022 with INFLASHION: a line of couture that helps you beat inflation... with style. Each outfit was inspired by a different solution to combat inflation—how to shop smarter, ways to negotiate your income, inflation-proof investments, and smart credit card options.
The campaign exceeded brand expectations, picked up headlines, and received praise across social—but most importantly, Inflashion helped inflation feel a little less deflating.
