Ray-Ban and Meta have developed and released a new collection of smart eyewear with just the right amount of technology allowing people to TAP INTO NOW and capture every moment without missing out on them.

To launch this new global positioning, the brands teamed up with iconic sunglass-aficionado and record-breaking Nigerian music artist, Burna Boy, to launch his new track “VANILLA” off his upcoming album, Love Damini.

Captured from the perspective of his Ray-Ban Stories, Burna Boy’s new music video invites viewers to step into his first-person POV perspective, along with a cast of creators to illustrate the instant and effortless Capture, Share, and Listen capabilities of the glasses.​ Influencers from various backgrounds were cast as supporting roles inside a narrative built around their respective passion points like music, beauty, or cuisine, providing easter eggs for fans (like @ColeChuchna from Spotify Dissect or globally-renowned Belgian-Congolese choreographer and dancer @JennyBSG).

To drop the music video, Meta and Ray-Ban stitched together multiple first-person IG stories from both Burna Boy and the cast of creators to form the final music video as their own Story. ​Through real-time collaboration, the team deployed a carefully sequenced series of posts and tags to weave together what appear to be seemingly random Instagram Stories from multiple accounts – and points of view – into a single, cohesive narrative. This innovative drop method used the native capabilities of Instagram and the reach of the creators to its advantage. Each of the influencers posted their own bespoke segments of the music video in sequential order, tagging @rayban, who in real-time, re-shared the segments on its own IG Story to form the final version of the video composed of multiple, unique perspectives and storylines.

Ray-Ban Stories and Burna Boy have created one of the biggest music and social media moments of the summer – using Instagram Stories in an innovative way to invite music fans everywhere to ‘Tap into Now.’
