Verizon & Bel-Air - The Ultra Throne Experience

Tapping into Verizon 5G to power an immersive experience that brings the most iconic part of the Bel-Air franchise to life and bridges the reimagined series with the original series.

Taking the selfie room to the next level, fans, one by one, entered a custom designed installation within the Bel-Air mansion; once seated users found themselves in a nondescript room with a single chair facing an AR, Magic Mirror. As the music begins to play, the room is transformed into one of three character inspired throne rooms. Scenes and objects inspired by Will, Hilary and Carlton animate into the world that’s being reflected on the user.  The entire sequence is recorded and sent to each user as a social media souvenir. 

The throne serves as the iconic cornerstone in both the original and reimagined Bel-Air - this experience helped users feel closer to the source material than they ever imagined.

The collaboration took place over Superbowl weekend in the host city of Los Angeles. With the series debuting a day after the big game, we knew we needed to make a statement in order to compete.  

The event ran for a total of three days and featured appearances from the series main cast and producers, influencers, and celebrity cameos from all across the US including NFL Stars, NBA Talent and original series alumni including Jazzy Jeff himself.  

The Ultra Throne Experience helped deliver the biggest original series premiere of all times for the Peacock platform, reaching more than 2 million accounts in the first three days of availability. on  superbowl weekend, that’s no mean feat. 

With 32 million impressions, the snap lens outperformed Verizon’s previous national lenses, especially in terms of time spent and engagement.

The results exceeded expectations. Not only did the Ultra Throne Experience help deliver the biggest original series premiere of all times for Peacock, but there was literally no down time during the event which saw a new group go through the experience every minute.
