When Riot Games released Arcane, an animated series set in the fictional universe of League of Legends, we wanted to give streamers and media reps a unique way to get the word out. So we turned a media event into a playable experience. We created a virtual pixel art adventure inspired by the iconic Undercity from the show, where guests could play deadly mini-games, solve puzzles and uncover many hidden easter eggs. We invited 200 streamers and media reps to this playable experience and encouraged them to stream it to their audience. The sum total of subscribers for all the guests who streamed the event was 5.2 million across Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.
