Our team dug deeply into desktop research and uncovered that in the US while there was only about ~20% coverage for Men B vaccination. Furthermore, the lowest rates of meningococcal vaccine awareness (only 12%) and highest disease incidence and mortality leaving black teens particularly vulnerable to meningococcal disease. We needed to find a way to elevate black parents’ roles in the meningitis conversation urging them to talk about it with their child’s doctor and help close the vaccination equity gap.
We created a pilot campaign aimed at black caregivers in 3 U.S cities launching with a compelling social campaign called “Everyday warriors” celebrating ever day parents and commitment to their kids.
