Steve Cope and 2AM collaborated with McCann Manchester to create an exciting new brand film for Smyths Toys Superstores. 

The film features an all-star ensemble of this Christmas’s must-have toys including; Toy Story’s ‘Forky’, ‘Pikachu’ and ‘Boppi the twerking Llama’, all conducted by the Smyths hero character Oscar, whom as a concert maestro, brings to life his own magical, musical extravaganza. 

Cope seamlessly blended live action, CGI and animation to create the illusion that the toys are in a full-size beautifully ornate concert auditorium.

Post-production was by The Moving Picture Company in conjunction with LEGO.

Beyonce’s ‘If I Were A Boy’ has been cleverly re-interpreted to ‘If I Were A Toy’.  The song was recorded by soundlounge in the legendery Abbey Road Studios, with the musical score courtesy of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
