The brief for this was dirty 70’s French new wave, textured and gritty to compliment the strange comedy of the film. Graded in the middle of lockdown, Thomas the director let me run free with the grade. Just keep it filmic… I think there is an essence of awkwardness that seeps through from being in a room on your own grading somebody stabbing themselves in the eye repeatedly. The final result is beautifully disturbing.
