Each night over the 16 days of Amnesty International’s "16 days of Light”, on behalf of First For Women, we filmed a tribute in the form of a light projected poem dedicated to specific murdered victims of gender based violence, either at the site they were murdered or where their bodies were found. Essentially this act shed light onto some of the darkest subject matter - through the physical light of the poems, the families who got to experience catharsis as well as bringing public awareness to these crimes. This project resulted on getting the Government on board to set up a move for 365 days of light to be shed on gender-based violence.
