With the explosion of Covid19, the public quite suddenly lost the ability to connect in a physical way.
In response, stationery company Papier brought me on board to create an immersive, textural TV spot inspired by the idea of sending love through the letterbox, to encourage people to reconnect.
The piece is filled with plenty of sound design and foley recorded in close proximity to really place people in the moment of preparing and sending a beautiful message to loved ones. I recorded paper crunching, lots of smooth movements and delicate sounds remotely from Ireland to create a wash of familiar and comforting textures.
I composed the music to simply gently tug and carry the viewer along, and support the warm and fuzzy feeling of receiving a personal note from someone who cares about you.
