It’s hard to compete with coke during Christmas, after all, Santa only wears red because of them. They helped shape the image of Santa. So we decided to use it against them, by telling people the real santa story and the conclusion: everytime you use a red santa in your holidays you’re doing free advertising for Coke and that we would pay anyone who advertise for us, instead.
We developed a promo where we awarded with discounts and free guaraná cans everybody who advertise for us this Christmas by retweeting our video or creating content with a green santa instead of a red one. To do so, first we made a video telling everybody why Santa wears red, and how Coke is fooling everybody. Then we asked people to advertise for us instead, because different from coke, we would pay for it.
