Carriberrie captures and archives many Australian indigenous dance in glorious 360 degree films. Showcasing a stunning range of Australian locations in 12 performances - including the highly acclaimed Sydney Opera House; an iconic ceremonial traditional dance in Uluru; food gathering dances in the rainforest; war songs on the most northern tip of Australia; and funeral songs in the Arnhem wetlands, before culminating in a highly charged hunting track set in the central desert.

More than 150 dancers from nine Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultural groups welcome us on a breathtaking journey through their land, encompassing the traditional and contemporary, giving us a deeper understanding and respect for Australia’s Indigenous people.

Aboriginal Australia is believed to be the oldest continuing culture on the planet. A robust, thriving and complex ancient culture, rich in stories and traditions. Unfortunately, much of this history has been lost for the world to discover.

This is an incredible opportunity to reinforce our commitment to Australia’s Arts and Culture and to align to our Indigenous Reconciliation Plan (RAP), using our digital expertise in an innovative forum, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary dance pieces for the first time in 360 and VR.

Narrated by Australian traditional dancer and actor David Gulpilil, Carriberrie is the biggest and most advanced 360° virtual reality (VR) documentary ever produced in Australia. A powerful and intimate dialogue between the First Peoples, the viewer and the land, using immersive technology to transcend cultural boundaries
