Brief: Depression is often confused for sadness or dismissed as “just a low point” or "work stress". Patients often resort to short-term solutions like anti-anxiety pills or stress-relief tablets, rather than talking and sharing their feelings. MindOpeners, a leading organisational psychology NGO, wanted to highlight this aspect.
Execution: We kept the design very simple and minimalistic, yet self-explanatory. We used the shape of a pill and a tablet as our main design elements and portrayed them as tables with two people sitting across and sharing their hearts out.
Results: Our communication helped open people’s minds and MindOpeners received an unforeseen number of calls from depressed patients. In addition, there were increased calls to organise counselling sessions in high schools. Even HR departments of various organisations reached out to the NGO to sensitise their employees toward this all-important issue.
