Emergency is an Italian based NGO which offers free, high quality medical and surgical treatment to victims of wars, anti-personnel mines and poverty, standing internationally for basic human rights and migration policies. So in order to support the migrant’s rights during the mediterranean crisis, sending a message to all Italians to reflect on a new year coming, it released the story of Miriam, a girl like everyone else, who dreams of a future made of opportunities, friends, family and love: of a normality that not everyone can take for granted, as we discover at the end of the story. The film invites the viewer to meditate on the inequalities that migrants are afflicted by and on the disparities within our society affecting people because of their place of birth, the colour of their skin or their religion.
