Nike has launched an empowering campaign that pays homage to Middle Eastern athletes and highlights the successes of three women who compete in sport, against odds and sometimes cultural norms.
In the series of three films; we follow the story of Houriya Al Taheri, former goalkeepr of UAE Women's national team and the first ever Arab Female coach. Manal Rostom, an Egyptian Marathon runner and Mountaineer, raising awareness of tolerance inclusivity, kindness and equality for all women via her social platform 'Surviving Hijab.' And Zahra Lari, an Emirati figure skater and the first to compete internationally in a hijab.
The brief was to compose an uplifting piece of electronic music with Arabic overtones to work across all three films, seamlessly.
