Anti-Semitism is not a problem of the past. The number of anti-Semitic attacks in Germany has risen from 7 to 29 registered cases per day in just a few months.
That's why the Central Council of Jews needed a campaign to ensure that people finally empathize with those affected by anti-Semitism and are committed to supporting them in the event of anti-Semitic attacks in everyday life.
To get the civilian population to finally take action, we circulate journalistically researched stories that use creative storytelling to make it emotionally and argumentatively impossible to dismiss anti-Semitism as a problem of the past any longer. We achieve this with videos that initially look like eyewitness reports from Holocaust survivors - until the face and voice are rejuvenated via AI and it becomes clear: These attacks are happening here and now and we need to take action against them here and now.
Such a technically impressive and creatively compelling state-of-the-art use of AI is unprecedented in the context of political communication for an institutional organization in Germany. The emotional impact and technical innovation of #StopRepeatingStories therefore not only underline the topicality of the issue, but also manifest the relevance of the Central Council as the public voice of all Jews in Germany.
The campaign’s combination of emotional power and technical innovation not only underpinned the urge of that issue, but also manifests the relevance of the Central Council as the public voice of all Jews in Germany.
