Randstad felt the need to shift the conversation towards a more pressing societal topic. And call for a revaluation of working with your hands. The shortage of skilled labor has doubled in the past 3 years and Randstad chronically struggles to fill blue collar positions. Not enough students choose practical professions. They look down on blue collar work and think getting a theoretical degree is the “safe choice”.
