Deluxe Spain collaborated with Ogilvy to test the mountaineer and TV personality’s abilities.
Health insurer Generali launches ‘La Gente Vs Calleja’ (‘The People Vs Calleja’), a campaign in which Jesús Calleja - mountaineer, explorer and TV personality - will have to face the common problems of everyday life. We all know that Calleja is an expert in facing the most extreme nature but how he will react to a breakdown on a highway, a water leak or a sick baby?
With a format similar to television content, La Gente Vs Calleja is shot in a test studio in which different people will put the well-known adventurer to the test. For every problem, the Generali app always offers a solution. But will Calleja be able to overcome day-to-day problems?.
The campaign runs on TV and social.
Deluxe senior colourist Ximo Michavila and the DOP Takuro Takeuchi worked together to create a theatrical and mysterious atmosphere that it brings personality to the advert.
Ximo comments: “In each plane we selected separate elements for creating masks to emphasize the importance of these elements and improve the composition of the shot. The combination of colours and the enhancement of all the elements transport us immediately into the set of Generali's experiments.”
On a VFX / special effects level, Deluxe took care of even the smallest detail of the production, elements of filming were erased, different steps in different shots were synchronised, mannequins were retouched, the final packshot was resolved with the appearance of the Lion (chroma) and the logo, integration of the mobile screens.
The sound of this production is an essential part for this piece. Deluxe also took care of even the smallest detail here, creating the effects band contributing a greater richness to filming content and adding to the mix to help give it a frenetic rhythm and a communication that suits this fun piece.
