Burger King had a problem. Despite being the self-proclaimed Home of the Whopper, only 37% of people knew what a Whopper was. Yup, 37%.
We needed to put our iconic burger back on the map, and make Home of the Whopper mean something again.
We did the unthinkable, we put our original flame-grilled burger on the pedestal it deserved. For one day, Burger King nationwide would only sell Whoppers. If people tried to order anything other than a Whopper, they’d be served a Whopper.
And it worked, not only was it the biggest day in Whopper history for the Burger King website, sales of the Whopper have increased 14% year on year. Burger King is once again, the Home of the Whopper.
