One of the very first projects Whale took on was Adidas’ Run for the Oceans in partnership with Parley. We worked with creative partner, Studio Lore. The campaign was incredibly ambitious to raise awareness and consisted of two main focus points, the Parley Ocean School and the Run for the Oceans global event
Parley Ocean School - To highlight adidas’ long-running partnership with Parley, Whale took a team, all passionate about the oceans, including the very talented young director/cinematographer Blake Myers from LA and accomplished underwater DOP/photographer Nathan Lawerence from Indonesia, to the Maldives to document the campaign in action. The Parley Ocean School is a pilot program to educate the youth of the Maldives, while shining a light on one of the biggest climate crisis facing the world.
Run for the Oceans - Whale also put together a team of three producers who criss-crossed the world shooting in eight cities to create a full suite of moving and still content, all contained in a simple to deploy visual language that allowed individual markets to activate the campaign across the globe with visual consistency.
