Vox Media Hires Phil Delbourgo as VP of Design

Vox Media today announces the hiring of Phil Delbourgo as VP of Design, effective from March 19th. 

Phil joins Vox Media from First Look Media where he was ECD and helped launch entertainment and storytelling studio TOPIC. Previously, he was the SVP of Brand Creative at VH1 and was the Creative Director for the Viacom digital consumer products lab that launched the MTV and CMT Artists apps.

He has an incredible depth of experience in leading teams at large and small companies, building media brands across digital, TV and live events. Phil also co-founded ACT/ART, an organisation that has worked at the intersection of art and activism, an example being their #IAMTHEMANY criminal justice campaign launched in partnership with the Obama Administration.

Phil's mandate at Vox Media is to help develop a strong, renewed design vision for Vox Media, leading the design team to be collaborative creative partners for the whole company. He will report into Trei Brundrett, Vox Media's Chief Operating Officer. You can check out some of Phil's work here.
