Peter Schmeichel and David Seaman Talk Food and Football with Frank’s RedHot Sauce

This Thursday, England will take on Denmark in arguably the most thrilling clash of their group stage ties. To celebrate, Frank’s RedHot Sauce has brought goalkeeping royalty - English sensation David Seaman and ‘The Great Dane’ Peter Schmeichel - together for a three-part mini content series. 

The episodes see the former-rivals-turned-pals share their thoughts on the upcoming tournament, while indulging in British and Danish cuisines - all of which have been kicked up a notch with Frank’s perfect blend of flavour and spice.

Episode 1: Peter and David discuss the glory days and their expectations for the Denmark v England showdown. From Peter revealing that he believes his home country will be seeking revenge following their previous semi-final clash, the pair’s score predictions, and dressing room gossip (watch to find out who they thought had the hottest head… hint, they had a famous run-in with a Palace fan once upon a time). They’re not just talking football either - Peter gives David a lesson on the true heritage of bacon & eggs, while demonstrating how to add some extra flavour and heat with Frank’s RedHot Sauce.

Episode 2: This instalment sees the pair give their thoughts on the hottest strikers at this year’s tournament. From Hojlund to Mbappe, we learn who they think will be the spiciest in front of the goal. And it wouldn’t be a HotTakes episode without a wander down memory lane! The legends also uncover the strikers who used to make them sweat the most (cue Robbie Fowler…) The classic dish being taken up a notch this time is the British delicacy of fish and chips - a clear favourite from each side of the table.

Episode 3: The RedHot Takes series concludes with the goalkeeping legends talking about their predictions on who will win the tournament, all while enjoying the Danish delicacy of pickled herring - covered in Frank’s - that is revealed to be a classic Christmas dish in the Schmeichel household. The seasoned pros chat about which keepers will be the hottest of them all this summer, and Peter opens up about his son, Kasper, whom David had the pleasure of previously coaching.

The mini series coincides with Frank’s bringing an essence of Germany to London on Thursday 20th June, as it takes over the Bermondsey Bierkeller beer hall and transforms it into Frank’s-Furt; the ultimate viewing event to watch the Denmark v England game in style.
