Global digital agency DEPT® has hired Wolfgang Lünenbürger-Reidenbach as SVP and head of DACH. The German digital marketing pioneer will oversee a team of 450 specialists across technology and marketing services, focusing on delivering pioneering customer experiences, campaigns, and solutions that set standards for the next era of AI transformation.
This appointment signals a commitment to aggressive growth in DACH and follows a series of significant new business wins, including DEPT® being named Lufthansa Group’s new Digital Agency of Record and being in charge of Salamander’s brand campaign relaunch.
Wolfgang brings 30+ years of experience in the industry - the 55-year-old theologist and former radio host is one of the pioneers in digital marketing in Germany with leading creative and management roles in this space for more than 20 years. He was the first blogger global communications firm Edelman hired in Europe, and he built up Edelman Digital in EMEA. Later, Wolfgang was the German CEO of WPP’s Burson Cohn & Wolfe and their European creative lead. He recently helped agencies and professional services firms transform and adjust their business models to the shifting digital landscape. Wolfgang is a breeder of Icelandic horses and chairman of Germany’s biggest riding club.
