Danish director Torben Kjelstrup joins Hobby Film

His most recent viral music video ‘Soy Yo’ for Bombera Estereo has reach almost 5 million views and has heralded by international press for his empowering portrayal of outsiders. Hobby Film will represent Kjelstrup in their native Sweden as well as throughout key markets in central Europe.

Hailing form Denmark, Kjelstrup left his background in architecture and turned his passion for film & photography into a career. Since making the change, Torben has directed films for brands such as Playstation & Castrol amongst others.

‘As soon as I saw the music video I was amazed by the story and the attitude & coolness of the girl’ says Oskar Bård, owner & director at Hobby Film. ‘I felt an urgent need to find out who the director was and sign him or her. I was amazed that Torben is quite new to directing and realized he has amazing raw talent.
