Albert Kodagolian Lenses New Bankplus Spots

The Bueno Films director is the man behind the camera of the shorts that feature Eli Manning

 

What if Eli Manning never played football? That's the question posed in a pair of new commercials directed by Albert Kodagolian of Bueno Films for Mississippi-based BankPlus. The campaign, created by The Ramey Agency, promotes the BankPlus commitment to providing excellent - and equal - service to all customers. 
 
Isn't it true that famous athletes and celebrities are always treated differently than the rest of us?  That all stops when you walk into a BankPlus office. Working from scripts and concepts from Bob Potesky at The Ramey Agency, Albert Kodagolian imagines the famed quarterback in two jobs he might have had - pizza delivery man and children's entertainer - and the spots show that at BankPlus, everyone is treated like a star. "We're capturing a "what-if" world, a parallel world, one in which the famous sports celebrity Eli Manning is just an everyday man," explains Kodagolian, "The scripts are wonderful, and they've allowed us to craft humorous, honest, and beautifully cinematic stories that will engage the audience and elevate the BankPlus brand."
 
The spots achieve a stunning photographic quality while maintaining an everyday, documentary-style look. Kodagolian was also the Director of Photography and shot mostly handheld to create bold, fluid, cinematic shots that capture his nuanced scenes filled with candid moments. 
 
Rob Armour, the Chief Marketing Officer for the client BankPlus said, "Albert Kodagolian and Bueno Films brought a vision and direction to our scripts that fit very well with the BankPlus brand and Eli Manning's easy going personality.  We wanted to create spots that cut through the clutter which is sometimes hard when your spokesperson is so well known.  Bueno helped us create an alternate world where Eli is a different sort of Eli Manning. The concept plays a little joke on the viewer but Bueno and Albert Kodagolian made sure the brand payoff remained the focus." 
 
The spots will begin airing on September 1st.
