New creative excellence series from Little Black Book and The Immortal Awards is open to all members of LBB for any work that launched in May

Curation of the second edition of The Monthly Cut is underway and it’s not too late for your work to be considered for inclusion. If you’ve been part of a project that aired, launched or appeared for the first time in May then you can still make ‘the Cut’.

The new creative excellence initiative from Little Black Book and The Immortal Awards sees a curated reel of the best in global commercial creativity delivered directly to LBB’s Standard and Premium members every month.

The first edition - The Monthly Cut 001 - went live at the start of May, featuring work for Adidas, Guinness, SickKids, Xbox, Telstra, The New Yorker, and Snoop Dogg, from the likes of FCB Canada, Grey Mexico, Uncommon London, Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, Droga5 New York, Biscuit Filmworks, FINCH and Iconoclast.

A creative council, composed of industry leaders from the brand, agency and craft worlds, will be curating the work that features on the reel. The current council includes Coca-Cola’s Islam ElDessouky, IPG’s Susan Credle, BBDO’s Chris Beresford-Hill, Droga5’s Tara Ford and many more.

Is my work eligible for this edition of The Monthly Cut?

Work from all Little Black Book members is eligible for inclusion and any project that launched globally from May 1st 2025 could feature on this month’s reel. Any work that is published on the platform from May 31st onwards will be part of the next edition.

My work is eligible and already on Little Black Book, is that okay?

If your work has been covered as a news story on Little Black Book then it will have been reviewed by our team and is under consideration.

My work is on Little Black Book but not as part of a news story, what now?

If you’ve uploaded eligible work into your Creative Library on LBB then please send the URLs over to themonthlycut@lbbonline.com by Friday 30th May to guarantee that the team has seen it.

My work isn’t on Little Black Book yet, how do I change that?

To ensure your work is considered for the first edition of The Monthly Cut it will need to be uploaded onto Little Black Book, either as part of a news story or into the Creative Library, by Friday 30th May.

To upload work to the Creative Library, simply log into Little Black Book and head to My LBB. From there, click on WORK and then ADD NEW WORK. This video explains How to Upload Work to LBB.

Once your work is uploaded please send the URL(s) over to themonthlycut@lbbonline.com by Friday 30th May to guarantee that the team has seen it.

Who is curating the work that features on The Monthly Cut?

Selecting the work that makes ‘the Cut’ will be a rotating quarterly council of industry experts, alongside Little Black Book’s managing editors Addison Capper (Americas), Alex Reeves (EMEA), and Brittney Rigby (AUNZ), CEO Matt Cooper, and head of creative excellence Paul Monan. Check out the guest curators for the first three editions here.

The Monthly Cut 002 will be available to all Standard and Premium members in June

All Standard and Premium members should have received an e-mail at the start of May with information on how to access The Monthly Cut 001.

If you are a Little Black Book member on the Basic tier then you will need to upgrade your membership to receive The Monthly Cut.

If you’re interested in finding out more or have any questions, please contact Paul Monan, (paulm@lbbonline.com); Tash Atkinson (tasha@lbbonline.com) and Matt Cooper (matt@lbbonline.com) at themonthlycut@lbbonline.com
