Pavleye Art and Culture in collaboration with Arbor Vitae present the original “Thus Spoke LaChapelle” catalog publication which has been created on the occasion of the eponymous retrospective exhibition held on Prague’s Rudolfinum Gallery. Written by Otto Urban, the curator of the show, the book features various exclusive and never been published materials. An extensive curatorial essay is followed by the selection of LaChapelle’s early works shot in 80’s. Highly color saturated images with surrealistic sets and the glamorous celebrity protagonists form an inevitable part of his portfolio, however the “Thus Spoke LaChapelle” catalog clearly defines his twist from commercial and fashion photography to artistic production for galleries.
