Working in collaboration with our sister agency, Studio Output, we helped to develop a suite of 3D elements as part of a fluid branding and visual identity system for the BBC’s new innovation network. These were then progressed into a series motion idents and gave us an opportunity to really push the render quality using Octane.
The identity is based around two interlocking letters. The ‘C’ is always rendered in a solid and consistent form whereas the ‘S’ takes on a more experimental nature which is triggered once the two letters connect. Depending on the type of situation it is being applied to, this graphic element can be swapped and changed to suit the mood while retaining brand consistency.
