FCB Paris wants to conquer new territories. How? With a new idea and social media campaign: to send the first advertising creative into space with more than 36,000 balloons.
The idea is simple. After some scientific calculations, the team found they needed 36,895 balloons to send their lightest creative – meaning the actual person (Baptiste – 114 lbs.), not the work – into space.
With each Like on the FCB Paris Facebook page, the team will inflate a balloon and store it in the agency next to the Champs-Elysées, in preparation for launch-day three weeks after the campaign kickoff, which was on March 10.
