There’s been a lot of buzz lately regarding AirBNB, from Netflix and Chill, to The Jungle Book, and even Beyonce is getting in on the action. But what about a room that lets you rediscover one of the world’s most renowned artists from his own perspective? Welcome to VanGoghBNB.
After more than 100 years apart, Van Gogh’s three paintings of “The Bedroom” come together at the Art Institute of Chicago marking the first time in North American history that all three works have been displayed side-by-side.
To commemorate the occasion and celebrate the Van Gogh exhibition launching at the museum on February 14, Leo Burnett Chicago built a full-scale, livable model of Van Gogh’s infamous "The Bedroom." Art fans will be able to book two nights in the replica bedroom on Airbnb.
The Art Institute of Chicago re-created the artist’s famous bedroom as a real-life listing on Airbnb in a historical downtown Chicago building located one mile from the museum. Visitors will be able to discover who Van Gogh was not just as an artist, but as a human being. The intriguing, fully immersive experience will be available to book for just $10 from February 14 through May 10, and includes two tickets to the exhibition.
