The agency, with offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Reykjavik, joins the international society
Full-service advertising agency Ueno has been accepted into the Society of Digital Advertisers
(SoDA), an international, invitation-only association of respected digital marketing agency leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries.
Ueno specializes in product, marketing and branding, and they provide design, development, strategy and content services within those service categories. The agency has 50 employees and offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Reykjavik. The agency designs and builds beautiful digital products, brands and experiences for a host of brands, including Airbnb, Apple, Chubb, Cisco, Dropbox, Facebook, Fitbit, Google, Lonely Planet, Medium, Red Bull, Progressive, Reuters, Samsung, Slack, Uber, Verizon and Visa.
"SoDA members have inspired me with their work for a very long time. Joining them as a peer gives me warm fuzzy feelings," said Creative Director Halli Thorleifsson who founded Ueno in 2014.
A network and voice for companies creating the future of marketing and digital experiences, SoDA represents top agencies and production houses through unparalleled collaboration, knowledge-sharing, business support and exploration of how technology can be leveraged to transform consumer experiences. It holds SoDA Sessions throughout the year in various cities, produces SoDA Reports on timely topics and conducts Digital Marketing Roundtables online.
SoDA was formed in 2007, and its members contribute for the betterment of the entire digital advertising and communication industry. The organization—whose membership comprises 100 leading digital companies—strives to facilitate open discussions between digital and traditional agencies, as well as brand marketers and clients. SoDA's member companies have offices in more than 40 countries across 6 continents.
Prospective members undergo a highly selective and rigorous ballot process and many do not make the cut. Selected agencies are carefully screened by the SoDA Operations Team, sponsored by a member, reviewed by a regional committee, voted on by the membership and then reviewed and ratified by the Board of Directors.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ueno as the newest member in SoDA,” said Tom Beck, SoDA’s Executive Director. “SoDA offers a unique model for knowledge sharing and peer collaboration across our global network and the bar for admittance into the organization is incredibly high. We prioritize creative excellence and look for active thought leaders and hard-wired digital innovators. Cultural fit is also essential and Halli and the team at Ueno will add some great new voices and perspectives to the SoDA community.”
