The new spot is edited by the Quarry, with VFX from YOUNGSTER London

Edited by The Quarry, with VFX by YOUNGSTER London, the Milk Tray spot is a perfect example of how seamless integration of offline to online services under one roof worked together to create a new joined up approach to production.

Because the cut could be demonstrated with visual effects work-in- progress, it created a greater understanding of the final-to-be spot at presentation stage, and from there an earlier than usual focus on VFX shots that allowed more time to be spent to ensure a top tier standard of creative output.

Fallon’s Head of Integrated Production, Jonathan Davis commented: “Normally when you see the initial edit there are lots of caveats about the edit you’re seeing, but we were able to have a far greater measure of where the commercial was heading when seeing elements worked up and comped in at the edit stage.”

In this newly-formed collaboration, YOUNGSTER and The Quarry work alongside each other at their new Heals studio as part of a total creative offering.  YOUNGSTER is headed up by Director of Production, Josh King, formerly of MPC and Rushes.

Paul Watts, co-founder The Quarry added: “Milk Tray was a fantastic opportunity to offer our joined up post offering from The Quarry and YOUNGSTER.  Presenting a ‘rough cut’ to the client in the cutting room, where we could share the developing post process on various shots way earlier than typically expected was invaluable.   No more expectations of imagination, and the potential misunderstandings that comes with it.”

The ad, which launched last week as part of a fully integrated campaign, was written and directed by Chris Palmer at Gorgeous with colour grade at the Mill and sound at Wave Studios.
