A new 6-part TV series titled "Coastal Kitchen"
featuring chef and restaurateur Peter Kuruvita, premieres this Thursday
night on SBS1. Produced by The Precinct in partnership with Tourism and
Events Queensland (TEQ), this series explores the impressive food
culture surrounding Kuruvita's new home in the Sunshine Coast.
This
is the fourth series The Precinct has produced with the celebrity chef,
with previous series receiving numerous accolades including a
nomination for Best Lifestyle Series at the Banff World Media Festival
and Best New Male Talent at the Logies.
Says Henry Motteram, EP, The Precinct: "We've travelled to Sri Lanka,
The Cook Islands and Mexico with Peter and now we're bringing him back
home to showcase the amazing produce right here on our doorstep."
Tourism
and Events Queensland CEO Leanne Coddington said Queensland's Sunshine
Coast was a dream destination for gourmet travellers.

The series as already been sold to numerous broadcasters
throughout the world in Asia, NZ and the UK with more deals in the
pipeline ensuring that a global audience will discover that there's a
strong culinary culture throughout the Sunshine Coast.

Coastal Kitchen airs to Australian audiences on SBS1 from 8:30 Thursday
10th of November and online via SBS On Demand.
