Financial stress is a national epidemic in the US. Nearly 75 percent of Americans are experiencing financial stress, and it is affecting our nation's health and happiness.
During Super Bowl 50, StrawberryFrog has created a powerful ad for SunTrust Banks, Inc. that will put its purpose of 'Lighting the Way to Financial Well-Being' into action with the launch of its first national Super Bowl ad to help Americans talk openly about money and take steps toward financial confidence.
"Our Super Bowl ad is a shift from business-as-usual. It's about raising awareness that financial stress is a serious issue and it's time to do something about it," said SunTrust Chief Marketing Officer Susan Somersille Johnson. "Just like physical fitness, people need inspiration and support to tackle what's holding them back from pursuing a life well spent. Let's start the conversation."
The commercial is being created by Scott Goodson and his team at New York-based StrawberryFrog, known for outstanding creative work and history of supporting purpose-driven companies.
"The spot was filmed in several locations around the U.S., will air as the last ad during the two-minute warning break in the game's fourth quarter," says Scott Goodson head of StrawberryFrog. "We reunited with Dante Ariola from MJZ to direct this commercial. We last worked with Dante on the award winning Jim Beam Bold Choices commercial starring Willem Defoe."
"Most Super Bowl commercials either aim for laughs to generate buzz or use provocation to push a product, and I think we're going to distinguish ourselves by doing something completely different," said Scott Goodson, founder of StrawberryFrog. "We're going to create a film that has a galvanizing message to inspire people from this terrible financial stress."
