Spotlight on Women Creatives: Kory Mcavoy, Creative Director, Engine Group, Brisbane

Anyone who has met Kory will attest to her being one of the nicest people in the industry. Her compassion for people and the world around her comes through in her work, which is renowned for its beautiful art direction and strong sense of humanity.

Before joining Engine in 2011, Kory held long-term positions at agencies such as McCann Erickson and SapientNitro Brisbane - working on brands that include Virgin Blue, Brisbane Marketing and Michael Hill. Her talent has won her a multitude of creative and effectiveness awards, including an Australian Effie, three AMI Queensland awards, gold and silver W3 awards and over 70 BADC awards.

Always seeking greater inner knowledge and balance, Kory is also the co-founder at The Academy of Grounding, where she teaches yoga and meditation. She trains in Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing, too - proving that being nice doesn't necessarily mean being a pushover.
