Sound Lounge Taps Industry Veteran John Rota

Audio post-production company Sound Lounge has welcomed industry veteran John Rota to their growing talent base as Executive Producer and Head of Business Development. Bringing more than a decade of experience with him, John will lead production and sales for the company’s commercial division, identifying new business opportunities for the audio-post house and for their partnership with new live-action creative collective and production company Derby.  John will report to Sound Lounge partners Marshall Grupp, Tom Jucarone and Peter Holcomb in the new hybrid role.

Known for his high caliber work, including the 12-part HBO Sports docuseries Legendary Nights, independent documentary Playing with Rage and Funny or Die's Sarah Silverman’s Thanksgiving Special, John’s projects have received accolades from the Emmys, NAACP Awards, and various film festivals. Most recently, he held the role of Senior Project Manager and Producer at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, where he worked with brands that include Tide, UNICEF, Charter Communications, and Greenlight a Vet with Walmart, which is a national movement that encourages people to show visible support for U.S. veterans by replacing a white light bulb with a special green-colored one.
