Sonar composers Matteo Zingales and Antony Partos worked with director Ramin Bahrani and HBO Films to craft a brooding score

Sonar Music is excited to announce the studio’s latest work on HBO’s Fahrenheit 451, set to make its international debut at a prestigious midnight screening at Cannes Film Festival on the 12th May 2018.

Award-winning Sonar composers Matteo Zingales and Antony Partos collaborated with director Ramin Bahrani and HBO Films to craft a brooding, urgent score for the highly anticipated film, based on the iconic dystopian novel by Rad Bradbury.

Milan Records will issue the soundtrack later this year.

“Ramin is a gifted and provocative film-maker whose films often have a political or social edge, Matteo and I were thrilled to work with him again on this film and are very excited to the attend the world premiere screening in Cannes” says Partos.

Zingales and Partos previously partnered with Bahrani on the critically lauded feature, 99 Homes, for which they were awarded the AGSC Screen Music Award in 2016.

Starring Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther), Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water) and Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Fahrenheit 451 will premiere on HBO on 19th May.

Sonar’s Antony Partos also recently scored Anthony Wonke’s feature documentary, The Director and the Jedi, for Lucasfilm. A behind-the-scenes bonus feature for the Star Wars: The Last Jedi release, the score has garnered wide praise in its own right since premiering at this year’s SXSW Festival.
