Newly-improved system allows clients to upload media from cloud directly to Simian

Simian Integrates with Dropbox and Box to Enhance Media Asset Management

Simian, the innovative video sharing and collaboration solutions for the advertising, film and media, and entertainment industries has announced its integration with Dropbox and Box to offer a more seamless and enhanced media asset management service. This innovation, set to launch on 7th September, is the first of many more integrations that will be happening in the near future.

With ever-expanding media libraries, satellite teams and employees around the globe, cloud storage options like Dropbox and Box have emerged as must-have add-ons for most of today’s high-output creative companies. According to a recent Simian client poll, an overwhelming 80% cited Dropbox and Box as their most desired integration. With 61% of creatives working outside the office, at least part of the time, the ability to work on the go cannot be undervalued.

Simian CTO, Jay Brooks comments: “Having access to a shared Dropbox or Box and the content stored there, is becoming an essential part of the creative workflow for many companies.  Many are receiving files from a variety of creators and sources from all over the world and it just made sense to link our services together.”

In lieu of this increasing demand, the asset management, distribution and software company has responded by giving its clients the ability to upload media directly from popular cloud storage platforms into Simian via any desktop and mobile device.

Jay explains: “With the newly-improved system, clients can simply pull media over by connecting to their cloud storage directly from the Simian Uploader, eliminating the need to download from one service and re-upload.”

For the many creative companies relying upon Simian for optimized ways to share video, collaborate on projects and market their talent in smarter ways, this seamless integration will provide a vastly more streamlined offering.

Simian users will be able to access these new features from 7th September 2016
