Specialist UK bank Shawbrook reveal their revamped branding by 999 Design and website, created by Equator

Shawbrook Bank has announced the relaunch of brand identity and the launch of a new website as part of its new rebranding efforts.

The new visual identity showcases the proud Shawbrook lion housed within a distinct pink square.

The bold graphical style is brought to life through a fresh photography approach informed by different perspectives, observations and the details that help make each customer ‘story’ unique.

999 collaborated with Shawbrook to capture this distinct positioning across the business before developing comprehensive brand guidelines to create a connected brand and online experience.

Meanwhile, Equator led Shawbrook’s digital transformation, with the new website reflecting the refreshed brand identity. The platform aims to drive traffic by boosting awareness of the bank’s consumer lending and specialised business product areas.

Garry Hamilton, Group Business Development Director at Equator, said: “We’re passionate about creating connected experiences – it’s at the heart of everything we do. To achieve complete integration between Shawbrook’s brand and its digital estate, this project drew expertise from across the business including development, design, strategy and the branding specialisms of 999 Design. We’re proud to be supporting Shawbrook as it strives to lead the way in the UK SME lending sector.”

Contrasting Shawbrook’s old website, the new platform is optimised to cater to high traffic volumes while being user-centric and fully responsive. Visitors will receive an engaging finance experience with a focus on added-value content. The platform has been built flexibly, allowing it to evolve as the bank continues to grow.

Richard Armstrong, Group Head of Marketing & Communications at Shawbrook, said: “We believe the company has evolved and our brand needed to portray our distinctiveness in the marketplace. Alongside our enhanced digital presence, we’ll be looking to further connect with consumers and significantly increase the number of businesses that choose Shawbrook for their funding needs.”
