SapientNitro, part of the Publicis.Sapient platform, hired Shirley Romig as Global Retail Strategy Lead, adding a senior executive with deep experience in developing and leading growth strategies and digital business transformation initiatives in retail and luxury. Based in New York, Ms. Romig joins SapientNitro’s Retail Practice, which serves a blue-chip stable of retail clients.

Prior to joining SapientNitro, Ms. Romig held several leadership positions with Hudson's Bay Company and Saks Fifth Avenue, where she oversaw the development and execution of Saks Fifth Avenue’s omnichannel transformation. Previously, Ms. Romig specialised in retail consulting where she developed extensive experience in merchandising strategy, organisational and process design, and sales and margin improvement across a variety of retail clients including luxury, speciality, off-price, discount retailers and home fashion manufacturers.
 
She began her career with SapientNitro as a Strategy Consultant. Romig earned an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Business.
