Austin-based agency, Proof, have launched this fun Valentine's Day campaign for San Antonio Tourism. 

This is the second year, and new iteration, of the city San Antonio's "Gentleman's Guide to Valentine's Day" promotion. Valentine's day is one of the few holidays where most men are tasked with the planning and decision making so San Antonio is tapping into that male demographic for its second year in a row with a campaign that showcases the city of San Antonio, Texas (aka, the City of Yellow Roses) as the ideal romantic destination for men in search of a Valentine's weekend getaway.  While last year's campaign focused on serving up hints on how to be the perfect gentleman, this year's promotion takes on a different twist by not only educating men on how to properly woo their significant others, but also testing their gentlemanly knowledge in a fun, interactive and shareable way through the Gentleman's Quiz.  Originally concepted and now evolved by Proof, the new "Gentleman's Guide to Valentine's Day" comes to life online and through a series of print, grassroots and digital initiatives that reinforce San Antonio as the premier romantic and affordable Valentine's Day weekend destination.  

Print and rich media drive romance-seekers to the campaign's online and mobile-friendly hub located at CityofYellowRoses.  The site caters to men, serving as home to the "Gentleman's Quiz" - where men can test their true knowledge, earn badges, and share results.  The site also lives as an ongoing blog of random tips, funny content and words of wisdom for the true gentleman; hosts a live Q&A section; and offers links to deals and promotions at local restaurants, hotels and attractions to help plan the perfect getaway.   Grassroots efforts will also be pushing San Antonio as the ultimate romantic destination, print ads will run in Texas Monthly, and mobile ads are targeted to popular sites including CBS Sports and Drudge Report.  Online display ads will run in Expedia's romance theme store and targeted rich media ads will run on TripAdvisor.com.
