RSA Films' Karni & Saul Win British Animation Award

Creative duo's work on Katie Melua's 'Perfect World' music video adds another win to its collection

RSA Films' Karni & Saul Win British Animation Award

Mixed media duo Karni & Saul were last night awarded the public choice award for favourite music video at the British Animation Awards.

The video for Katie Melua's 'Perfect World', which features a sugary winter landscape, has already picked up several leading industry awards including the UKMVA and Berlin MVA for Best Animated Music Video.

The British Animation Awards takes place every two years and covers all aspects of the UK Animation scene, from student work to commercials, children’s entertainment, short and experiential films, music videos and new technologies.

"They (Karni & Saul) never veer away from the emotional content and fragility of the song. They genuinely care. I am so excited and grateful that they have delivered such a charming and magical movie which brings ‘Perfect World’ to life so magnificently,” Katie Melua.

BAA director Jayne Pilling said: "Once again the standard of entries for the British Animation Awards has been incredibly high and gave the various category judging panels a real headache."
