The new TV and digital Ponti campaign, created by Armando Testa and planned by Media Italia, will be on air from September 16 on the main TV stations, with the first execution dedicated to Ponti’s apple vinegar from 100% Italian apples.
The spot represents a natural evolution of the campaign created by the same agency in 2013 and the debut in communication for the Aceto di Mele Ponti.
The quality of raw materials and the values of the company are highlighted through a story in which the vinegar bottle comes to life, directed by Federico Brugia, Vittorio Sacco for tabletop and with post production from BAND in Milan.
After considering the needs of the customer, during the pre-production phase the BAND team decided which kind of workflow to adopt, considering the delivery times and the quality of the bottle to be animated that had to maintain the characteristics of a glass character’s movement; not too fluid but at the same time natural.
The pre-compositing work was done on still frames of the bottle, the final rendering of the animation and all the elements replaced and created in CG (the building of the vinegar factory, the barrels, the logo on the boxes, the moving bicycles and the pack shot) were redone until the satisfaction of the director and the VFX supervisor Alberto Mantini, who have worked closely together since the beginning.
The final colour grading, done by Adriano Mestroni, gave a picturesque look, warm and sunny, and a decisive separation between product and background in the tabletop that enhanced the attractiveness of the foods on which the vinegar is poured.
The campaign features products that convey the values that distinguish the history of Ponti, an Italian company with a family tradition that has recently celebrated its 150th anniversary.
“Our commitment has always been linked to taste,” explains Ponti CEO Giacomo Ponti. “For this reason we have left the products to talk, with their quality, which is the direct result of the company's values and daily work. This campaign satisfies our desire to speak to consumers, through traditional products, and the passion with which our family has been dedicated to vinegar for five generations.”
