Oscar Mayer debuts its new ‘Council of Franks’ campaign across TVC, OTT, OLV and social media. With debates and subsequent rulings aplenty in today’s world, Oscar Mayer taps a fictional local government of experts, ‘The Franks,’ to debate one of their most important topics to-date: how to best enjoy Oscar Mayer 100% Beef Franks. They take their job incredibly seriously because delicious Beef Franks is serious stuff. 

THE COUNCIL OF FRANKS: Oscar Mayer’s new ad campaign raises awareness for its new 100% Beef Franks recipe. Each spot in the campaign chronicles the ‘Council of Franks’ official meetings, as they all deem Oscar Mayer’s 100% Beef Franks the most delicious. The brand also debuts a special playlist that consists of songs all sung by musicians with the name ‘Frank.’

‘KEEP IT OSCAR’ MENTALITY: From the quirkiness of a government body of ‘Franks’ to an official council seal of an all beef frank grilling over the great American plains, the new campaign is a natural extension of Oscar Mayer’s signature brand platform, ‘Keep It Oscar,’  focused on sparking smiles and reminding people that life isn’t as serious as it seems, all while uniting millions around a love of meat.

Dreamt up by creative agency Johannes Leonardo, the campaign will be supported with a 360-degree marketing plan, utilising earned, paid and owned channels across TVC, OTT, OLV.

Oscar Mayer will fix that this summer, just in time for grilling season, by instituting the very first Council of Franks — a council made up exclusively of people named Frank, whose sole purpose is to celebrate and expound upon the deliciousness of 100% Beef Franks. The council was brought to life with the help of Brad Lubin, talented director, but also, and more importantly, a former local city council videographer — who ensured our council operated accurately and followed proper procedure in all of its 100% Beef Frank related activities.” said Nathan Frank, group creative director.
