MullenLowe U.S. Appoints Jenn Wong as President of its West Coast Operation

The seasoned, modern marketer joins from innovative audio streaming platform SoundCloud

MullenLowe U.S. names Jenn Wong president of MullenLowe West. She will report to U.S. CEO Frank Cartagena and lead in lockstep with MullenLowe East president, Jordan Muse.  

“Jenn has accomplished so much in her career because of her incredible versatility and hunger for what’s next,” Cartagena said. “She is a modern renaissance woman whose skill set blends creativity, technology and strategy, which she leverages to move and make culture. Described as a genuine live wire, she is exactly what we need to light up this agency.” 

Beyond traditional advertising channels, Jenn brings a unique perspective to the modern social and content marketing cycle through years of experience developing and implementing new social and content strategies on both the brand side and at agencies. She has produced award-winning new media franchises serving gen Z and Alpha audiences across a range of industries, bridging traditional storytelling and new ways of working in social content creation, influencer marketing, partnerships, distribution and performance media.  

With a trailblazing ability to bridge the gap between advertising and culture, Jenn brings nearly two decades of leadership experience at distinguished brands and agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, Beats by Dre, Gap Inc., TBWA\Chiat\Day and Curaleaf. Most recently, she served as head of global brand marketing at SoundCloud, which was named on Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024, where she was instrumental in implementing new strategic frameworks, redefining the company’s positioning and establishing compelling value propositions to catalyse the fan-to-artist streaming ecosystem. 

During her time at Gap Inc., Wong led marketing efforts for the greater Canada and Japan markets while expanding into new markets in China and the Philippines. At TBWA\Chiat\Day, she oversaw the global Airbnb business, including the sprawling “Live There” campaign that disrupted the tourism industry. Her work has been recognized by the Effie Awards, D&AD, the Clios, Cannes Lions and more. 

Before entering the world of marketing, she was a music journalist and photographer whose work was featured in Rolling Stone, Hypebeast, Nylon and more. 

Jenn joins MullenLowe during a pivotal period following the agency’s global rebrand and new positioning last year. In her new role, she’ll help the agency meet the strategic and creative demands of today’s multi platform marketing communications world while expanding its range of capabilities and building a culture based on collaboration and effectiveness. With an initial focus on enriching the agency’s approach to content and social marketing, she will help write the next chapter for the agency that routinely edits itself to adapt, innovate and thrive.

MullenLowe continues its positive momentum with several Clio and Effie awards this year after being named Agency of the Year at the Art Director’s Club and a streak of new business wins, including prevailing in the recompete for Department of Defense’s JAMRS contract, GEICO social, global investment firm Invesco and Ghirardelli late last year.
