MullenLowe Group Latin America is pleased to announce the winners of INK HOUSE, an initiative to introduce advertising, marketing and communications students from across the region to the real agency world.
The event, carried out from the 26thto 28thOctober, saw MullenLowe Group Latin America, Unilever, advertisers and the media, get together to celebrate young talent. More than 150 students from over 60 universities and higher education institutions competed simultaneously in 12 countries across the region to demonstrate their passion and their strategic and creative capabilities, working on a brief for Unilever’s KnorrBrand. The winning team from each country was awarded an internship at their local MullenLowe Group agency in 2019.
“For years we’ve been developing communication strategies and campaigns for Unilever in Latin America, so it makes so much sense for Unilever to take an active part of INK HOUSE”, said Robert Filshill, Business Director, MullenLowe Latin America. “We’ve just won a Latin America Effie Award with Knorr; it was the best-rated food campaign for the region. We want to continue to explore new routes and INK HOUSE will allow for the young students of Latin America to do the same. We are very grateful to Knorr’s Latin American team, especially Francisco Spirito and Renata Graner,” he added.
The winning team from each country will participate in a second, regional stage of INK HOUSE, in which the best idea of Latin America will be selected. For this regional winning team, the Miami Ad School Punta Cana has offered a prize: a scholarship for the first Quarter of their portfolio programme.
“It was an intense experience –almost 48 hours of uninterrupted work– but it was well worth it. As we expected, all the teams demonstrated enormous talent, which confirms the great potential there is in this region. Everyone’s enthusiasm was incredible, both the participants’ and the people from MullenLowe that organised everything. I want to thank the universities that signed up, Unilever with their Knorr Brand that made it possible, Miami Ad School Punta Cana for that wonderful prize, and all the sponsors and companies that gave us their support across the region. Last but not least, thanks to all of the MullenLowe staff in Latin America that worked very hard to get to today”, saidFrancisco Samper, CEO MullenLowe Latin America.
