Mother NY Just Launched The Most Mentally Meatilicious Intern Application Film

Mother New York launched a music video today motivating young talented people to apply to their 2015 Summer Internship Program. “Fresh Meat” is slated to premiere on a number of select sites where potential candidates will hear and see how much the agency values “raw talent.”

To get the word out that Mother is seeking to fill roles across disciplines such as design, digital, strategy, experience, production and creative – the team behind the project made video content that was memorable, engaging and that leaves viewers feeling like they need to take a shower. In the video Mother takes the metaphor of interns being “Fresh Meat,” and then adds some flavor. Actually a lot of flavor. Maybe, too much flavor.

Mother’s SVP, Managing Director, Donald Buscando clarifies. “At first we were afraid the video may not appeal to vegans or vegetarians. But at the crux of the message we are not asking young people to eat meat, we are simply saying they are the meat. We hope that’s clear.”

In it’s 5th year, the Mother Summer Internship offers new talent an incomparable experience and a chance to learn, grow, and work at one the most respected creative shops today. Being part of the Mother team from day one, the summer interns also bring a fresh perspective and new energy to the agency. Proving that there may not be an I in team, but if you jumble the letters up, there is in fact, “meat” in team.

Running June 8th – August 14th, the Summer Internship Program concludes with a symbolic and poignant event. The interns will man the rooftop BBQ grills and grill the rawness right out of the “Fresh Meat” they’ve been lovingly compared to for months.
