Karolus Viitala Named CEO of Bob the Robot Pictures
Finnish marketing agency Bob the Robot has announced that it will start building a wider content production unit around its subsidiary, Bob the Robot Pictures, in order to respond to clients’ increasing demand for multi-channel storytelling and communication. The company has named Karolus Viitala, formerly strategy director at Bob the Robot, as CEO. Karolus Viitala started working for Bob the Robot in 2015 when he left McKinsey & Co. to join the firm.
“We want to create a model for content production, which enables our clients to both have and create conversations with their customers better than before,” Bob the Robot’s CEO Miska Rajasuo describes.
In the future Bob the Robot Pictures will continue to concentrate on developing its technological expertise and high-quality video production. The core of the business unit will continue to be connecting film production and digital competence. This will be supported through added expertise in content production and communication.
“We established a film production company for the YouTube age a couple of years ago and we have always had strong digital competence as a company. The creative combination of these two is one of our main value propositions to our customers. When we add more agile ways of working and the expertise of communication and content production, we can support our clients in a unique way,” says Bob the Robot Pictures’ CEO Karolus Viitala.
Bob the Robot Pictures currently employs 15 people and is aiming for strong growth during 2018.
